Introduction to Astrolandscape Photography

This introduction class to Astro landscape photography is perfect for beginners or anyone with a keen interest that wants to try it out.
Astro landscape is a challenging, but fun, rewarding and interesting genre of photography that sets itself apart from other astro photography by including landscape detail in the shot.
In this class, you will learn everything from how to plan, prepare for and capture amazing astro landscape images on your own, be it the spot stars, star trails, meteor showers or the Milky Way.
Weather dependent class: If there is too much cloud cover, this class will move to another weekend. Should that happen as much advanced notice as possible will be given including the new date.
Black and White Photography Meetup

In this meet-up you will learn about black and white photography. With the absence of colour we boil photography down to its essence of light and shadow contrast, textures and patterns as our only tools to create amazing monochromatic photography.
Exploring Light for Beginners Class

Dive in and explore the wonderful world of light, one of the three cornerstones of photography. This class is a great follow-on from the beginners photography class and for anyone keen to learn more about light in photography. In this class you will learn about different types of light conditions and genre's of photography most suitable under certain light conditions. You will also learn about light modifiers, how you can use light and white balance to set the mood of an image. We will also answer the question of 201cis there such a things as bad light? 201d.
A Walk in the Park Meetup

Join up for a walk in beautiful St. Anne's Park where we will be looking to capture signs of spring in the park. This meet-up is designed to get you to look for a certain subject and how capture it in the best possible way.

Take the first steps on your photographic journey with this photography for beginners class, where you will learn the basics of the three fundamental cornerstones in photography; Composition, Light and Exposure to take your photography to new levels. You will learn basic composition techniques and tips, how to recognise different light conditions, understanding exposure using the exposure triangle and how to apply this to your photography in manual or any of the semi-automatic modes. All while getting to know your camera controls while doing so.
This class is ideal for the beginner and for those who feel they need a refresher or to fill in the gaps in their knowledge.
