Come along to our photo sessions to dust off your camera and get snap-happy with a professional photography instructor.

Brush up on your camera skills and learn new photography techniques whilst on a photo walk class with other local keen photographers!

We run two hour photography sessions based on a photography theme/technique/style and they take place in various locations in Dublin .

  • New to photography? We also run a popular 3 hour Beginners Guide to Photography Class once a month. And once in a while we will run special niche 3 hour classes, for example, Astrophotography - so do subscribe to our newsletter to know when the next on is!

  • Who can attend? Open to all skill levels, from beginners to keen amateurs. The photography instructor is there to help you with camera settings and provide any advice you need.

  • What to bring? We recommend bringing a camera that has full manual mode or semi-manual modes (Aperture or Shutter Priority). Compact cameras and smartphones also welcome!

The cherry blossom trees in Herbert Park are beautiful every year. They came into bloom this year just in advance of the approaching "Storm Katherine" which they were not expected to survive. I managed to photograph them ahead of time and really like this soft light at sunrise. I used my Canon R6 and 70-200mm lens. Very little editing was used in post - just some dodging and burning to amplify the shadows.

Right before the rain came, I got a chance, to witness the morning magic. It is really well worht it by giong out with the camera, even when the forecast looks somewhat ''bad'' . Light before the rain is dramatic ( and others usualy stay home when forecast doesn't look great ), so there is more of a chance, to capter something ''unexpected'' Canon R6 with EF-R variable ND adaptor and EF 16-35/4 L IS USM16mm 1.6sec f/11 ISO 503 Stop Reverse gradual ND filter

I got this one a while back. Early morning (around 6.30 am) around Grand Canal Dock in Dublin. It was a grey and cloudy morning and I did'nt get the sunrise I had hoped for, but was still really happy with how this one turned out. ISO 100 / 17mm / f14 / 6sec.

Title or Location: Feeling the magic of the first snow in Ranelagh, Dublin, Ireland.
The first snowfall in Dublin was a sight to behold. Stepping out into Ranelagh, where I lived, I felt the crisp air bite my cheeks. Everything was blanketed in pristine white, a scene begging to be captured. As I raised my camera, a woman on the sidewalk caught my eye.Unlike everyone else, who was bundled in winter coats, she wore a bright blue jacket, a splash of colour against the snowy canvas. But what truly intrigued me were the sticks she held. I'd never seen anyone use them in Dublin,

The classic "Diamond Ring" picture from the recent eclipse on April 8, 2024, taken from our cabin in the woods on the banks of the Little Missouri River! We (8 family members) have been eagerly waiting for this event since August of 2017, when we traveled to Athens, Tennessee for the last one!

This was my first attempt at astrophotography in Brisbane and was a trial shot more than anything. I went looking for an eastern facing foreground knowing that the Milky Way core would be rising at around 10pm from the east, leaving me few options where light pollution wouldn't be an issue. I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't too harsh at vic point. I loved the foreground and the lightning in the distance on the horizon, and the satellite creaping in was another unexpected surprise with th

Dearing the eclipse of 2017 my family and I sat in our backyard here in WA to watch the 93 totality with our eclipse glasses. With my homemade solar filter attached to my camera, I took a series of photos of the sun during the eclipse. After processing my sun photos, I was disappointed to see that the moon only showed up as a black hole and not its proper form. I am an avid shooter of Astro photography and have several photos of the moon taken from my backyard and multiple other locations. I
